A few notes before I would like to begin:
Well This is a surprise ain't it? Not really. With the new demotion of Wouter, BoredMS hopes to fill it's potential final spot with someone who can be considered a
"Fun GM" which I think I could possibly qualify to be. As for why I'm making this app is simple: I decided to make an app because I felt like the server needs one GM who can be dedicated to go on Late at night so that the other members of the staff do not have to worry about staying up just to see if everything is fine with the server. (Timezone Ftw!)
Anyways enough rambling and onto my app!

Experience as a GM?
I was a GM in BoredMS v83 last year where I learned pretty much everything there is to know about being a GM. Before that, I was a GM in a very small server called Unnamed-story by the name Jolter :3.

How long have you played BoredMS?
If you count since the day I first joined the server, then it is for about 1 year. If you're counting my total playtime/active participation in the server, then it is around 7 months.
My break from the server was due to the fact that I had exams and that I was moving countries. Un-informing anyone in the server about it was completely my fault and I take responsibility for my actions then. If you count the time ever since I came back then it's probably about 1 week ish?

Why Do You Like BoredMS?
BoredMS is like my family. I can never be mad at these guys . From all the unique ideas generated by Justin or Sammy simply doing an excellent job hosting (f3) it simply makes me some might say ecstatic to be surrounded by such a welcoming community. Aside from the community, there are many other facets that allow me to enjoy the server greatly. Such as:
The Shiny new wz edits I can't seem to take my eyes off
The Dedication and love that some people have for this server.
The non-buggy Npc's.
No Lag for the most part.
You can name almost everything there is about the server and I can communicate about it for a while :3.

What would you do as a GM in BoredMS?
Unlike other applicants, if I was chosen for a position as a GM. It would provide myself with more pressure than anyone else simply due to the fact that I have to perform my job better than how I did it when I was a GM in this server. While it is challenging, I think I can pull it off simply because of the new found maturity I have gained during my break as well as being able to willingly acknowledge my mistakes in order to prevent future issues.
As a GM I would take my role very seriously. I outright refuse to be one that just sits there and be like "HAHAHA I HAZ ALL DA POWER!". I'm willing to make a difference in this server's community in order to make it one of the most endearing traits of the server. (Not that it already isn't but I think it can go up one more level).
Hosting Events is one of the most important undertakings as a GM. This allows for people to feel a sense of community and also adds a bit of competition. And who doesn't like a little bit of unique fun :3
Aside from Hosting events A GM must also be an open minded thinker. He/She must not be biased towards certain people and must be ready to pass on any judgement regardless of the relationship they have with said person.
Then there's banning hackers which doesn't really need to be stated. I'm just stating it in case some of you would be like "U WON'T BANDA H4CK3RZZ?"
Overall this is the criteria I set for myself If I get chosen to become a GM and I will do my absolute best to follow them.


Why do you think we should choose you?(What sticks out about you)
Being a GM in this server before, I understand what it takes to be considered a good GM. (And boy does it take a lot!)
I think that is one factor that really separates me from other candidates because I am familiar with the server and I am familiar with most people. Some way more than others. However, I sometimes see that as a disadvantage but that's not what I'm going to go into.
Am I the best possible candidate for this job? Probably not. There may be some other people who may have better qualities than me or meet the qualifications far better than I do. However, It is my experience with this server that allows me to overcome those people... at least I think of it that way.
Other than that, I think it's also my sheer determination to make a difference that allows me to stick out from the norm.
Due to me living in the Philippines, I am also able to be online when most/if not all staff members are asleep, you do not understand how many people ask for GM's during those times. It's almost frustrating seeing as I'm usually the only chat mod's during that time. But I shall endure it for the servers sake. (Angel is my saving grace :3)
This to me is seen as an advantage so that the server is able to accommodate players within a 24 hour spanMeaning less Q.Qers and more <3'erS.

How would you deal with potential fights between 2 players and/or staff members? (ONLY talk about 1 SCENARIO)
Fights between players are pretty simple to solve if you were to put yourself in the players shoes.
Let's say for examples sake that we have Person A : Justin was mad at Person B: Sammy because Sammy took his Zakum ch. But Sammy really wanted that one rebirth to become the best player in BoredMS (I'm creative eh?)
After much arguing they decide to take it to a GM. (For now let's say it's me)
First I would talk to each one of them individually and figure out why they thought the things they did or why they acted the way they did. I would also try to reenact the events in my mind through each persons POV (Point of view).
Second if I deem it not too risky, I would allow the 2 to talk it out in an enclosed space, (only if they are willing to.) It's better for the other person to learn about each others thoughts about the situation so it can open up room for apology/understanding.
If it is too risky and Justin just loathes Sammy so much (or vice versa) There really isn't anything to be done. I would have to separate each person and tell them to try to get out of each others skin. Most of the time it shouldn't be like this but stuff happens. If the fight ends up going worse I would use necessary commands to physically separate them while monitoring them closely. If it is just impossible then I will seek the aid of other staff members or people higher up.

Will you quit if we decline your application?
No! I spent way too much time helping newbies with issues and that patch issue.... every night. To just get up and leave is almost absurd. I'd continue doing everything I was doing before :3 It's almost part of my life now.

Tell Us About yourself

I am a 16 year old guy (almost 17) I just started school but that shouldn't really affect me.
In my 2nd last year of school and it's getting pretty hard now. (IB is hell!)
I play ultimate frisbee and I'm a musician, I play many instruments :3
By that I mean only Piano, Guitar, Voice and Saxophone.
Other than that I'm just your typical Half Lebanese Half Filipino kid.

If you're an admin, why would you apply for GM, since you already got a higher status... and second of all, you shouldn't be able to vote on other applications if you're applying yourself because the obvious reason...it's unfair, and if you now got admin status... I think you should just promote yourself instead, because, this is weird.

Anyway this is a good GM application and even though you were a GM before that doesn't mean you can't be a GM again, and it is fair because if it wasn't fair he would be a GM again automatically since he was one before. but Omar plays fair and applys. Omar ftw.

I'm not a GM. I was a GM a long time ago (last year) and I chose to re-apply for the jobs.
I am only an admin on the forums because I made the forums :3.
